wincustomize Howto download SKIN (Help plz)

To be able to use a skin (alter the way Windows looks) you have to have Windowblinds which is the program which applies those skins.

You can read about it HERE.

You can download a trial (30 day) program HERE.

After 30 days, it will stop working and you'll have to decide whether to purchase or not. I would recommend researching the programs on the Stardock website.

If you decide to purchase, you must install "Impulse" to download and update the programs, and other Stardock products and games as well as other useful software. It will also update you as to deals. It will not use any significant system resources and is not spyware or malware.

You should also uninstall your trial copy using it (come back to Forums for help) and must save your Aero Desktop (and revert to it) before uninstalling the trial copy to avoid problems.

For that, you need to read about "Object Dock" for which there is a free program which you can upgrade to the "Plus" version and "Icon Packager" which is part of Object Desktop.

I suggest you look at the link to the Stardock site, and also at the Wikipedia (the other link I gave you) and go through the index and read about what you want... just to be sure, the Wikipedia is a voluntary help guide and isn't necessarily updated about what you're reading.

- I found out you can change the Logon screen with LOGONSTUDIO.

I got Xp pro sp3. And i install the latest free public version 1.7. I try to apply a logonscreen.

But is not change anything. Everyting is the same PLz helpp.

After apply a new logon screen . I also reboot my pc the as before no change.

And the logon file called: xxxx.logonvista      . DO i need xxxxlogonXP

I got the program logonstudio 1.7 and installed but after apply a logonscreen sample it does not work.

just do EXACTLY what DOC told you !

If you click the green download button when looking at a "wallpaper" and it just opens a bigger version of the wallpaper, right click the bigger version and choose "save picture as" and save it on your PC.

I know that some walls open this way when download is clicked. I think it's when it is a single wall that isn't zipped.

Not sure if the author gets a download count this way.

You are probably trying to download a screenshot.  Those are not skins.
